Anything BUT Turkey and Design Team Openings!

This week's Recipe Challenge is to create a Recipe card featuring Anything BUT Turkey! Yes, we are sure that you are all sick of eating turkey by now, so we wanted to start December off on a yummy and relaxing note. Enjoy!
This relaxing card was made by the talented Ceal. She had a fantastic gift idea by creating a recipe card featuring Bath Salts perfect for Christmas. What a personalized gift for someone this year!

This yummy card was created by the talented Lorie. Not only does this recipe look yummy, her card is absolutely amazing! The paper is from our store. I love how her ribbon looks like corn. Very creative don't you think.

This applelishious card was created by me, Julie. I am sure you are tired of seeing my ugly handwriting on my cards, but I want to stress the importance of leaving a few of these handwritten cards around for your DD and GD to find when you have left the kitchen of life. I sure treasure my Grandmother's cards so I go ahead and write it out sometimes. This cute paper can be found in our store and the apple was a hand cut quickie that I made. Hope you enjoy!

This elegant card was made by the talented Ceal. She used Basic Grey 6x6 paper. Basic Grey 6x6 paper pads are the easiest (prettiest) was to make 6x6 recipe cards, I love this card!
This yummy card was created by the talented Lorie! She used my favorite Thanksgiving paper called Turkey Trot. I love her saying, just say no to turkey, hehehe.

We wish you a memorable Thanksgiving filled with amazing foods and future ideas for recipe cards.

Thanksgiving Dishes

This week's challenge is to create a Thanksgiving Themed Recipe Card. This time of the year brings out some our best recipes and food traditions. We so hope you will play along with us and share your Thanksgiving Specials with us!
This yummy card was created by Lorie. The paper goes perfectly with her recipe don't you think. The die cuts were created using a Cricut. I love how she used the metal embellishment with ribbon! Lorie is so creative.
This card was created by me, Julie. I also used my Cricut (stretch your imagination cartridge) for my turkey. This turkey is holding a purse that reads Eat Beef! I used a small circle punch to punch out turkeys from the reverse side of this paper. This paper is my absolute favorite Thanksgiving paper, because it so humorous. You can order this paper and the paper Lorie used at Scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com

Weigh To Go!

This week's Recipe Card Challenge was to create a Weigh To Go! card using healthy energy type foods. We all need encouragement in watching our diets during the holiday's, so our design team wanted to share a few yummy alternatives to the high calorie foods that will be soon surrounding us. Don't forget recipe cards are calorie free!!!!!

This inspiring card was created by Lorie. We all enjoy a yummy holiday dessert but this one will add taste not pounds to your holidays! Lorie used Home Cooked paper from our store. This paper is double sided and so perfect for just about any type of recipe card! Beautiful card.
This inspiring card was created by Ceal. She used my favorite paper this season called Turkey Trot. This paper is hilarious, because one side is Turkey's and the other is Turkey Legs (: Very cute! I think Ceal created the perfect Thanksgiving themed card here. I love how she has a tag to pull out for directions.
This card was created by me, Julie. I wanted to share what I eat most mornings before heading out to the gym. I decided that this week I would hand write my recipe. We all enjoy recipe cards form our mother's, grandmother's and aunts, because they are handwritten. I LOVE the look of typed cards but I also want to include a few handwritten ones for my daughters to enjoy. I cut the egg out free handed style. I used metal embellishments that reminded me of cookware. The Yum Yum tag is from an old SU set I got from a friend. The paper can be found at my store.

Please play along with us and share your recipe by posting a link in the comments section of this post! We would love to brag on you!!!!

This gorgeous card was created by Lorie. Doesn't this card just inspire you to have a spa at home day! The flowers are a Spellbinders die called Daisy Heads, you will se us using them a lot because they are beautiful!
This card was created by me, Julie. I used an older BoBunny paper and one of my favorite House Mouse stamps, Lipstick and Eye Pencil Ready. I added pearls to the side of my card because I LOVE pearls (: You can find everything except the paper at our store. You can find this recipe and many more at home spa recipes at this site: HERE
This luxurious card was created by Ceal. She used fun energizing colors for her card! With Halloween over then we know what comes next, the hustle bustle of the Holiday season, and we all need extra energy for that. We were to make a card with a recipe that will energize. These little energy bars will do the trick every time. They are great to make to take with you on a hiking trip or for that early morning Black Friday outing to give you a boost of energy right when you need it.

Please play along with our challenge and link your creation to the comments section of this post!!!!!

Trick or Treats for Halloween Parties!

This weeks Recipe Card Challenge is Trick or Treat Halloween Parties! Our design team has been hard at work conjuring up great recipes and recipe cards for your Halloween or Fall parties. Join our party and play along!

This spooky card was created by Ceal. She used Hallow Pumpkins from Glitz Design. This paper is heavy so no need to back it with additional papers. Notice the ribbon behind the card. Just adorable Ceal!!!!
This seriously spooky card was made by me, Julie. I used the new Eerie 6x6 paper from Basic Grey. I used my jagged edge scissors around the vellum. I used the acrylic smash technique to adhere it to the paper. The paint I used is a dark gold and it matches this paper beautifully. The bling is Glitz frosting. All the supplies used in this card can be purchased at scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com

This adorably Halloween card was created by Lorie. This card is so clever and cute can I say more! The spider is a cricut cut spider and the paper is basic Grey. The recipe is the perfect party snack! Below is an inside view of the recipe.

Please play along with our SPOOKY challenge this week and post a link of your creation in the comments section of this post. It's A Monster Bash Recipe Card Challenge!

This weeks Recipe Card Challenge is Autumn/Halloween Monster Bash. We are creating cards perfect for Fall gatherings with friends and family. Our design team has been hard at work creating a yummy variety of recipe cards to fill your monster appetite this week. Enjoy!
This scary card was created by Lorie. These little meringue treats, are easy to make, and fun to eat for all of your little ghosts and goblins. This fabulous double sided paper came to me from Julie at Scrapbook Store at Your Door, and I just love everything about it. From the distressed look, to all the flourish vines connecting the pumpkins. It was a perfect match for my From the Crypt stamp set from Stampin' Up!. Be sure to check out all the fabulous new kitchen themed items Julie is carrying, just for your recipe scrapping needs. I popped up the little bats on paper springs to make it look like they are flying, added some ink to the edges of the image and recipe, and ABRACADABRA! A fast and easy recipe guaranteed to scare your tastebuds into begging for more!!

This scary card was created by me, Julie. I used the new eerie 6x6 paper from Basic Grey. I heat embossed the edges of the center piece with black embossing powder from Ranger. I also stamped the word Halloween in Versa Mark and heat embossed the Black powder. It gives a neat black glossy look to the card. The Bling is from Glitz Designs. The recipe is yummy too and perfect for a Bash! If someone has peanut allergies I would recommend using a sweetened cream cheese layer or icing if you want to be real sweet (: Candies such as gunny worms, candy corn, Halloween M&M's would be perfect for the candy topping.
This is a close up of the fun Lollipop type flower I made for this card. I used one of the black pattern paper's from the eerie Basic Grey pack and tore layers smallest to largest in the shape of a circle. I used Versa mark around the edges and heat embossed them with black embossing powder. I wish my photography skills were a little better, because this flower looks so neat! You can try this technique with any pattern paper, but I recommend the Basic Grey 6x6 packs

This yummy recipe card is from Ceal. These Pumpkin cheesecake bars are always a hit. I didn't have any "monster" stamps so I went with a fall party recipe. The paper I used is some I had in my stash and the stamp is a Magnolia stamp. The pumpkin trim I found at Michaels. The other supplies you can find at Scrapbook Store At Your Door. Julie is carrying a whole new line of kitchen themed papers and embellishments for all your recipe card needs. She also carries Copic markers at a reasonable price so you will want to check out her online store for these goodies and more.
This beautiful card was created by Lauri.  Well, in my part of the world we skipped fall and went right to Winter! Snow, ice, cold...blech! Afer an insanely busy weekend, I put together a very quick and simple recipe card for this weeks Monster/Autumn Bash recipe theme. Fondue is always fun! and here is a recipe for Cheddar and Hard Cider fondue! So while your kids are out trick/treating, keep the adults happy too with a warm snack!
I used some distressed paper from Julie's Scrapbook Store at your Door, along with some very pretty fall diecut flowers and pearl accents, also from her store. My recipe book is getting very full!!

Please join our Monster Bash and Play along! Leave a link in the Comments section of this post. We would love to attend your monster bash. Let us know what you think!
